It works as planned. Love my table topper and the evening was perfect. Happy hour with food on the grill and a calm wonderful night with David. Life is good when one can sit and give thanks for the day. And yes, that is a Texas wine!

Texas Table Topper
Table topper for patio table done, MidCities Modern Guild President's Challenge to use charm pack fabric done (well does not really qualify because did not use a whole charm pack but I did finish off the pack left from another project of making post cards), using new binding fun learned at QuiltCon class Visible Binding Sewing with Heidi Parkes done. Texas themed topper with jean raw edge applique was quick, fun and just what I needed for an outdoor table topper. I like it.
Serged both sides of binding |
Sewing flat to back |
back in progess |
Running stitch on front using 12 weight thread, did not sew down serged edge |
The jean fabric is roughed up to fray a bit. This is a simple project just for fun |
Love the Texas fabric. Sets the right mood for fun and barbecue and a few brews too |
So that is it, nothing grand but DONE and I like it.
P.S. my go to for batting for table runners, mug rugs, etc. |
