Fabric Bowls ...Done It

OK, tried my hand at making fabric bowls.  Really easy to do and a great way to use up the the last of a jelly roll( 2.5" strips) or scraps but can say they are not my thing. They are very easy to do but not sure what I would do with them or how many one person really needs...But I can say, yes I did that  so I can check it off my list and add to my accomplishments in the category of I know how and could show others how.

orphan block

What to do when an orphan owl block finds it way into your hand?  One cannot send it back into the space it was hiding. So made a Welcome sign for the door from the garage into the house. This is the door most everyone uses anyway as no one really likes the steps up the "hill" to the front door even if there is a really great stair rail. But the owl now has a new place to hang out. And the wing and body of owl material was hanging out in my stash! Just enough of everything to do this project. Love when all aligns to the finish.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

My Somewhere Over The Rainbow quilt hung in the North Texas Quilt Festival a few weeks ago. Original pattern that took shape from a medallion  challenge a few years ago. The center of this quilt had been sitting for 2 years and I finally decided to envision something that fit the Director's Theme: Sing Your Song in Fabric.  The music at the top is the opening "tune" for the song.

Post Card Time

2021 has flown into space time it seems for me. A lot of travel and just not getting into the mood for blogging has taken my mind away. But it is post card exchange time for a couple of groups I belong to and they are always fun. I have been doing a few...

They are already sailing through the postal system to their intended destinations.
