So each year I look at the Christmas birth story and wonder? So much of the story is untold. The story of Mary is to me presented factually from the writers view and since these writers are men ...well then

The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for see, I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth and lying in a manger” (Luke 2:10-12).

The baby is born and the angels are sending visitors to these unknown people, to an unknown place with Mary and Joseph having no idea they are coming? Now Mary has just given birth in someplace she had no say in without her family women with her, having ridden on a donkey to get there. This is indeed faith that all will be well.  Mary had to pack for herself and for the baby to come and probably in one bag that would fit on a donkey. The child was wrapped in bands of cloth so she had to have put these in her bag knowing she would need them. Her mother and other women must have helped her pack knowing she things she would need. Joseph must have been frantic in someway as he was the sole person there to get Mary through this so I hope the women of his family had given him some guidance on what was about to happen. Oh my I can only hope those same angels were with them as the baby was born as surely God the Father would have sent them to help. Faith that all would be well was manifested that day. Come come Lord Jesus so all will be well.

So much fun to make an ornament for my sorority alumnae ornament exchange. I always seem to forget how satisfying it is to make something so fun. The hanging ribbon that is not in any picture is a striking gold and green.

And then there are 12 minis

And then there were 12!! The Alison Glass and GuicyGuice Mini Sew Along is now completed. I love these more than I thought I would but am undecided on how I will use them. BUT they are fun and I think I need some more to have options on what to make. I lean toward small things like a tote, zipper bag(s), buckets, etc... Have lots of the fabric so can do whatever! Fun...

Creative has taken somewhat of a back seat to travel this year. A few projects came off of my fingers and they were all fun. It is nice to have a space where whenever I want to venture into the creative I can and with no restrictions of how messy I can leave it. Nice to just shut the door and know it will be there when I am ready again.

mine 4th over from the top on gray background...only one going length wise

The nice thing about having a blog is you can come in and out at will. Noone pressures a blogger who does not make their living blogging. I do not make my living blogging so who cares if I blog a few times a year? But here I am in October and of 2022 and decided to blog today. I cannot really "catch up on the year" but here are some pics from the year thus far  There could have been more travel pics, more winery pics, more family pics but you get it...out and about and traveling and having fun.  OH another post will come of some of the quilt/sewing projects but for now loving remembering how great the year has been and how family, travel and fun will once again be the agenda. Peace to all
